Gainbridge Fieldhouse is downtown Indianapolis's major indoor arena, opened in 1999 as Conseco Fieldhouse and later called Bankers Life Fieldhouse. It is home to the NBA's Indiana Pacers and the WNBA's Indiana Fever and seats roughly 17,000 to 18,000 for basketball. Its retro fieldhouse design is a nod to Indiana's basketball heritage, and it hosts major arena concerts year-round.
