Why an email link.
Passwords get reused, leaked, and forgotten. Showbase is a calendar — not a bank. The strongest credential we need is “you can read your own inbox,” and a link does exactly that. No second factor, no recovery questions, no third-party SSO unless you opt in (Spotify is one click away from your account page).
Already followed artists from a previous email? Use the same address and you’ll land on the same account — no re-import.
