The Fillmore is one of America's most storied rock venues, made famous by promoter Bill Graham in the 1960s with shows by the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin. The ballroom holds about 1,150 people and is known for its chandeliers, psychedelic poster archive, and free apples at the door. It remains a premier stop for touring artists in San Francisco.
